All work activities shall be carried out by adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations, specific client requirements and the company’s own specified requirements defined within the company’s Health and Safety Manual and Health and Safety Plan.

Before any contract activities commence work related hazards shall be identified through risk assessment and any identified risks shall be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level through appropriate management and control. The methods of management and control shall be documented in the form of method statements and advised to employees through briefings and toolbox talks. Assessment shall also ensure adequate health and safety resources are available with regard to trained and competent personnel and the provision of appropriate personal protective equipment. All plant and equipment required to carry out work activities shall be provided as appropriate and users shall have the required expertise to use them in a correct and safe manner.

The Company’s Health and Safety Management System is fully documented, implemented and maintained and shall be subject to annual review to ensure it continues to meet current legislation and remains relevant to the activities of the Company. Each contract shall have it’s own site specific Health and Safety Plan which shall be maintained and controlled as the contract progresses to conclusion.

All employees shall be aware of the requirements of the company’s Health and Safety Policy Statement and of their responsibilities towards it’s achievement, and the duty of care they have to themselves and to that of their work colleagues.
